He has had the privilege of being on mission with God since 1979 when he gave God\u2019s his heart. He is a native of Eutaw, Alabama.\nRosevelt holds several degrees including: a Bachelor of Science degree, Agribusiness Education, from Alabama A&amp;M University, Huntsville, AL; a Masters of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky; and a Doctorate of Ministry from Mercer University, McAfee School of Divinity in Atlanta Georgia. His doctoral thesis was \u201cTHE EFFECT OF MISSION EDUCATION ON CONGREGATIONAL COMMUNITY.\n\nENGAGEMENT AT LEXINGTON BAPTIST CHURCH, LEXINGTON, SOUTH CAROLINA. The underlying thesis of this project was to determine what the church understands about mission in general and the effect of local engagement in the community.\n\nHe served 6.5 years at Sixth Avenue as the Associate Minister from 1992-1998. He served for 10 years at South Carolina Baptist Convention in Church Planting and Prayer &amp; Spiritual Awakening. He served on staff at Lexington Baptist Church. He is grateful and honored to have the privilege of returning to serve at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church in 2012 as Chief of Staff, Associate Pastor. More recently, Rosevelt was elected Moderator of the Birmingham Baptist Association which comprises of 135 distinct churches across the Birmingham-Metro Area.\n\nHe believes disciple-making to be an intentional and continual process of developing Great Commission Christians. He looks forward to the ongoing ministry through the congregation. He values preaching the God\u2019s Word, investing and impacting in the lives of others through coaching, and sharing faith through each opportunity that comes his way.\n\nRosevelt is married to Evalya (Evie) McCall-Morris.
