WORSHIP & ARTS

The Music Department at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church feels that the music…whether it is a gospel song, a great masterwork by Bach or Handel,an arrangement of an old hymn of the Church. or an African-American spiritual, is a blending of musical styles with a commitment to integrity, spirituality, quality, and the vision of the Church Ministry. The music ministry is a vital part of our worship. We offer three different adult choirs (Sanctuary Choir, Progressive Choir, Male Chorus) and the Praise Team, based on musical interest and a desire to worship God through music. All choirs participate in revival and minister with other Churches by invitation. Please come and join us in our music ministry! If you are interested in participating, contact 251-5173 ext. 229 or sixthavenue.worshipmusicandarts@gmail.com.

Combined Children & Youth Choir

Our children and youth choirs sing once a month during worship service. The choirs are designed to encourage our children's love of music and increase their understanding of music as a part of our worship to God. All music chosen for the choirs are age-appropriate and scriptural based. Occasionally, they provide additional music for special worship services, minister with other youth groups and/or churches and sing at nursing homes. They also participate in seasonal services along with the adult choirs.
